Saudi Arabia integrates agentic AI into national giga-projects

Saudi Arabia is transitioning from AI experimentation to large-scale deployment, positioning itself as a testing ground for agentic AI and AI-native business models. The Kingdom is integrating AI directly into the foundational infrastructure of its major giga-projects, such as Qiddiya, Red Sea Global, Diriyah, and New Murabba, rather than adding technology as an afterthought.

This approach aims to transform sectors including tourism, sports, aviation, and financial services. One notable development is the creation of the world’s first Agent-to-Agent Tourism Corridor, which connects Red Sea Global and AlUla through sovereign AI destination agents. This allows different entities to share AI infrastructure while maintaining data sovereignty. The rapid adoption is driving global technology partners to establish regional headquarters in Riyadh to support these national-scale digital transformations.
