Saudi Arabia resumes crude oil exports via East-West pipeline

Saudi Arabia has resumed crude oil exports through the East-West pipeline, also known as Petroline, following repairs to damage sustained from drone strikes in September. Managed by Saudi Aramco, this strategic route allows the kingdom to transport oil to the Red Sea, effectively bypassing the Strait of Hormuz and enhancing global energy security.

To restore normal operations, technical teams conducted checks involving a gradual increase in system pressure. The resumption of flow includes the restart of oil loading operations at the Yanbu port on the Red Sea.

Market analysts note that the recovery of Gulf oil exports, which reached approximately 16.328 million barrels per day in September according to Kpler, is helping to stabilize global supply concerns. While the increased flow may ease some market pressures, volatility remains due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and fluctuating demand.
