While some estimates suggest repairs could take up to six weeks, others indicate that a partial restart of operations might be possible sooner. U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright has expressed optimism that the pipeline could resume operations in the near future.

The security situation remains complicated by Houthi rebel advances in Yemen and increased maritime tensions in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, where Houthi forces have increased their presence and control over strategic maritime routes.
