Saudi Arabia road accident kills four Indian nurses and one Saudi national

Five people, including four Indian nurses and a Saudi national, were killed in a road accident on the Taif–Rania road in the Makkah region of Saudi Arabia on Friday, October 2.

The deceased nurses were colleagues working at primary healthcare facilities under the Taif Health Cluster. Among the victims were two nurses from Kerala, identified as Jaisy Mol Mathew and Jubina Johny, and two from Tamil Nadu, identified as Vijayalakshmi Jagadish and Hepsiba Devamani. The group was reportedly traveling back to Taif after a shopping trip on their day off when the vehicle lost control and overturned.

The Saudi driver of the vehicle also died in the crash. The bodies have been taken to Rania General Hospital pending legal procedures and arrangements for transport back to their respective hometowns in India.
