Fatal road accidents in Saudi Arabia

Overview

On October 2, 2026, a fatal road accident occurred on the Taif–Rania road in the Makkah region of Saudi Arabia. The crash, which involved a vehicle losing control and overturning, resulted in five deaths.

The victims included four Indian nurses working for the Taif Health Cluster and one Saudi national driver. Among the deceased nurses were two individuals from Kerala and two from Tamil Nadu. Following the incident, the bodies were moved to Rania General Hospital as authorities manage legal procedures and arrangements to transport the victims back to India.
