Saudi Arabian enterprises shift toward autonomous AI operations
Saudi Arabian enterprises are transitioning from artificial intelligence experimentation to large-scale deployment and autonomous operations. A study by Riverbed indicates that 90% of Saudi organizations have met or exceeded their initial AI return-on-investment goals, with two-thirds increasing their AI investments over the past year. Notably, 54% of Saudi respondents expressed high confidence in their ability to govern AI systems and maintain human oversight, a figure higher than the global average of 42%.
Complementing these findings, the FII Institute launched a report titled ‘Transforming Business: AI in the Enterprise,’ which examines how organizations can translate AI investment into productivity and financial performance. The report, featuring insights from partners such as Brookfield, JD.com, and Visa, highlights that while AI adoption is expanding—with 88% of organizations using AI in at least one business function—scaling remains a primary challenge. The report emphasizes that successful scaling requires workflow redesign, workforce development, and responsible governance to address concerns regarding data privacy and security.
