Saudi Grand Mufti calls for steadfastness against Houthi forces

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan, has issued a formal statement to border forces and coalition troops, calling for steadfastness in the conflict against the Houthi group.

In the address, the head of the Council of Senior Scholars emphasized that defending the nation’s territory and protecting the Two Holy Mosques are among the highest religious duties. He urged soldiers to remain patient and obedient to leadership, stating that protecting the country from aggression is a noble act for which souls may be sacrificed to seek divine pleasure.

The Mufti also extended his support to the coalition forces, urging unity to confront the Houthi group, whom he described as a “gang of evil.” He stressed that restoring security and stability in Yemen under its internationally recognized government is an urgent obligation to allow the Yemeni people to live in peace and participate in regional development.
