Saudi ICT Minister Abdullah Al‑Sahwah pushes AI, space ties with Korea and China
Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah bin Amer Al‑Sahwah met officials from South Korea to discuss expanded cooperation in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, 6G, cloud computing, digital infrastructure and talent development. He held dialogues with the Korean AI and Software Association (KOSA), Samsung Electronics, SK Group and a group of Korean investors, exploring joint research, localisation of advanced technologies and investment opportunities.
In Beijing, Al‑Sahwah met Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Licheng, leaders of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and the founder of Meituan. The talks covered AI applications, the digital economy, advanced‑technology localisation, and cooperation on space projects, including satellite manufacturing, smart logistics and smart‑city solutions. Both visits aim to advance Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of building a leading digital and AI‑driven economy.
