Saudi team LINX wins first place at Aramco STEM Race in Singapore
The Saudi team “LINX” from Dhahran secured first place at the Aramco STEM Race global finals held in Singapore from September 29 to October 7, 2026. This marks the first time a Saudi team has achieved this specific global victory in the competition.
In addition to LINX winning the “Best Team Identity” award, other Saudi teams performed strongly. The “Buzz” team from Jeddah received awards for “Best Project Management” and the “Elimination Round,” while Saudi teams collectively placed within the top ten out of 91 competing teams from around the world. The Saudi delegation was nominated for more than 15 out of the 22 available awards.
The competition, supported by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra)—an Aramco initiative—challenged students with tasks involving Formula-style car modeling, project management, and research and development. The participating teams underwent eight months of intensive training under the supervision of 36 coaches to prepare for the global stage.
