Darling Causeway crash near Mount Victoria station injures three
On Thursday, 6 August 2024, emergency services responded to a collision at the corner of Cobb Lane and the Darling Causeway near Mount Victoria railway station. A car and a truck struck each other, leaving three occupants at the scene.
One passenger was air‑lifted by a Toll helicopter to Liverpool Hospital, another was taken by ambulance to Nepean Hospital in serious condition, and the third required no hospital treatment. NSW Ambulance confirmed one patient remained in serious condition.
The Darling Causeway was temporarily closed in both directions; southbound traffic was later allowed to resume while drivers were advised to use alternative routes via Bells Line of Road and the Great Western Highway. Intensive‑care paramedics and a rescue helicopter were on site to assist.
Authorities urged motorists to avoid the area, allow extra travel time, and follow traffic‑management instructions.
