Savo Milošević sentenced to 22 years for wife's murder

The Supreme Court of Republika Srpska has issued a final verdict sentencing Savo Milošević, 30, to 22 years and three months in prison for the aggravated murder of his wife, Slađana Milošević, 24. The court rejected appeals from both the prosecution and the defense, upholding the original ruling from the Doboj District Court.

The crime occurred on December 29, 2024, in Velika Brusnica. Milošević used his BMW to block his wife's Fiat Punto on a local road. He then fired a single shot from an M70 automatic rifle through the vehicle's windshield, striking her in the eye and causing fatal injuries. Milošević was also convicted of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.

The court proceedings detailed a history of domestic violence. Slađana had previously fled their shared home with their two children to live with her parents due to Milošević's abusive behavior. Approximately six weeks prior to the killing, Milošević had reportedly lured her to a secluded location at gunpoint to threaten her. Aleksandar Ostojić, 25, was acquitted of all charges related to aiding the murder.
