Savona and Porto Sant'Elpidio host summer festivals on Italian coast

The municipality of Savona, the local fair authority and the beach‑workers union are organising the Grande Ferragosto on Saturday 15 August at the Scaletto delle Fornaci. The free‑access beach event, celebrated for its Blue Flag, will feature two DJs, a karaoke session, live performances and a finale presented by Luca Galtieri and Rudy Mas.

In the Marche town of Porto Sant'Elpidio, the 72nd edition of the "Faleriense in Festa" festival took place under the patronage of the municipality and the regional government. The programme combined a traditional Mass and sea‑launch ceremony with DJs, cover bands, a maccheroncini‑al‑ragù feast, fireworks and a tribute to Adriano Celentano, highlighting the contribution of volunteers and the local scout group.

Both festivals underline the role of municipal and community organisations in providing free, inclusive summer celebrations on Italy’s coasts.
