Savvy Hallie confirmed for Mulberry Racing slot in The Everest

Savvy Hallie, a four-year-old mare trained by Brad Widdup, has been confirmed as the sixth starter for the $20 million Everest sprint. Mulberry Racing has selected the mare to fill their slot for the event, which is scheduled to take place at Royal Randwick on October 17.

Savvy Hallie secured her position following a second-place finish behind Tempted in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes at Randwick on October 3. This performance followed her Group 2 Sheraco Stakes victory at Rosehill in September. Trainer Brad Widdup expressed satisfaction with the mare’s recovery after the Premiere Stakes, noting her potential for further improvement.

The field for The Everest includes several notable competitors, such as the defending champion Ka Ying Rising and Tempted. Final declarations for the race are due by 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 13.
