Putrada Ekadashi 2026: Observance dates and rituals

The Ekadashi Tithi begins at 2:00 AM on August 23 and ends at 4:18 AM on August 24. For those following the Vaishnava tradition, the fast is observed on Monday, August 24.

Rituals typically involve waking before sunrise, bathing, and performing puja with yellow flowers, tulsi leaves, and sweets. Devotees often recite the Vishnu Sahasranama or the Putrada Ekadashi Vrat Katha.
