European companies report diverse mid-2026 financial results

Various European companies and regional industries have reported their mid-2026 financial and operational results.

In Switzerland, Huber+Suhner reported increased revenue and order intake, though operating profit and margins declined due to significant investments in expanding production capacity for Optical Circuit Switches.

In Germany, E.ON confirmed its full-year guidance despite a decline in its energy retail segment. The Hoenle Group reported improved EBITDA and a positive EBIT, driven by efficiency measures and growth in its adhesive systems and decontamination units, despite weakness in the machinery sector. Sachsen-Anhalt's industrial sector saw a 5.8% increase in revenue, largely driven by international business, though employment in the region fell by 3.0%.

Medical technology firm aap Implantate AG improved its profitability and achieved record order intake in July, despite revenue declines caused by market outages in the Middle East. Cantourage reported a 22% revenue decrease in Q2 but saw an increase in EBITDA and gross margins as it shifted focus toward higher-margin international markets.

In the agricultural sector, winemakers in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt are anticipating a high-quality harvest due to warm and dry weather, which has helped prevent fungal diseases.
