European corporate earnings season July‑Aug 2026
Entities: Anheuser‑Busch InBev · Siemens AG · Samsung Electronics Co Ltd · Rio Tinto plc · BASF SE
Overview
Mid‑July 2026 saw a coordinated rollout of Q2 results for major European firms, with German groups such as Thyssenkrupp, Schindler, Lindt & Sprüngli and Mercedes‑Benz, Swiss companies Novartis, Julius Bär and Lonza, and UK and French firms including AstraZeneca, Vodafone, Barclays, Unilever, Michelin, LVMH, Safran and Danone. The calendar also incorporated Eurozone business‑climate indices, U.S. labour‑market data and sector‑specific metrics.
On 30 July the schedule broadened to include Samsung Electronics (South Korea) and a host of European companies – Societe Générale, Kion Group, Alzchem, Heidelberg Materials, Hella, Knorr‑Bremse, Nemetschek, Siltronic, Wacker Chemie, Anheuser‑Busch InBev, ArcelorMittal, Renault, Capgemini and Air France‑KLM – with German macro data forecasting a 3.8 % YoY rise in the July CPI. The rollout continued on 31 July with Sony, Holcim, Siemens Healthineers and major UK banks.
A further update on 1 August highlighted the German earnings calendar, adding BMW, Siemens‑related suppliers and chemical and mechanical‑engineering firms, alongside GDP forecasts, CPI data and the German central bank’s interest‑rate decision. Bertrandt AG released its Q3 2025/2026 results, noting a nine‑month revenue decline to €671.6 million, strong order intake, diversification into aerospace and defence, and progress on its “Fit for Future” efficiency programme.
