Sébastien Delogu announces repayment of overdue child support

Sébastien Delogu, a La France insoumise deputy from Marseille, announced on Saturday that he has fully repaid outstanding child support payments. The announcement follows an investigation by Mediapart, which reported that Delogu had failed to make regular payments for his two children since March 2025, resulting in an arrears of approximately 19,800 euros.

In a statement released on X, Delogu stated that he has ‘taken the necessary steps to regularize this situation and reimburse the entire amount.’ He described paying child support as a duty and apologized to his children for the consequences of the conflict. Delogu attributed the non-payment to recent financial difficulties and mentioned issues such as seizures related to previous legal fines.

While Delogu claims the matter is resolved, he has not publicly provided a receipt of payment. The Marseille prosecutor's office had previously opened an investigation into the potential breach of maintenance obligations following a complaint by his former partner.
