Legal controversies involving Sébastien Delogu

French lawmaker Sébastien Delogu has been involved in two separate legal and public controversies in Marseille.

In early September, Delogu was held in police custody for eight hours following a dispute with law enforcement. The incident occurred when Delogu allegedly blocked police officers from entering his building to arrest a suspect. Delogu claimed the officers failed to show identification and alleged he was struck in the chest, while police reported he physically opposed them and used insults. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 13 regarding allegations of insulting public officials.

Later in the month, Delogu addressed allegations regarding unpaid child support. Following a Mediapart investigation reporting approximately 19,800 euros in arrears since March 2025, Delogu announced he had ‘taken the necessary steps to regularize this situation and reimburse the entire amount.’ He attributed the non-payment to financial difficulties and legal fines, though he has not provided public receipts for the repayment.
