SBT implements programming changes including new presenters and show hiatus

The Brazilian broadcaster SBT is implementing several changes to its programming lineup. On the news program ‘SBT Cidades’, journalist Erica Reis has introduced a new co-presenter, Marcelo Casagrande. This follows the departure of Rodrigo Bocardi from the network in September 2026.

Additionally, the long-running game show ‘Roda a Roda’, hosted by Rebeca Abravanel, is scheduled to pause production starting September 27. The hiatus is expected to last until late December, coinciding with the broadcast of ‘The Voice Brasil’. This scheduling shift occurs amid previous unconfirmed rumors regarding the potential sale of Jequiti, a cosmetics company owned by Grupo Silvio Santos, though the group has denied such reports.
