SBT launches special World Cup 2026 coverage featuring Brazil-Japan and Germany-Paraguay knock‑out matches

Brazil and Japan will meet in the round of 16 on 29 June at Houston's NRG Stadium, with the match broadcast by SBT Sports and commentary provided by Galvão Bueno alongside analysts Mauro Beting, Alexandre Pato and others. The same day SBT will also air Germany’s round‑of‑16 game against Paraguay at Boston's Gillette Stadium, narrated by Tiago Leifert with Raphael Rezende and Juninho Paulista as co‑commentators.

Earlier, on 27 June, SBT previewed the Group K showdown between Colombia and Portugal in Miami. The South American side, led by Luis Díaz, seeks at least a draw to retain group leadership, while Portugal, featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva, must win after a 5‑0 victory over Uzbekistan. Both matches are part of SBT’s “Super Monday” World Cup programming that combines live coverage, studio analysis and special segments.

The network’s schedule also includes related shows such as “Torcida SBT,” “Vem Pro Jogo,” and post‑match analysis on “Futlive,” bringing Brazilian viewers extensive live and studio content throughout the knockout phase.
