Scania Banco secures R$1.3 bn in proposals under Brazil's Move Brasil 2

Scania Banco recorded R$1.3 billion in financing proposals in less than a month after the launch of the Move Brasil 2 program, a federal initiative backed by BNDES that makes up to R$21.2 billion available for modernising Brazil's truck, bus and road‑implement fleets. The proposals cover roughly 1,300 financing operations and about 1,500 assets – around 1,300 trucks, 130 road implements and 40 buses.

The program offers lower interest rates, a grace period of up to six months and repayment terms of up to 60 months, aiming to accelerate fleet renewal, improve efficiency, safety and sustainability, and reduce emissions and maintenance costs. Scania Banco highlighted its specialised credit approach, saying the result "reinforces our positioning as a strategic partner for transport operators, especially small and medium‑size carriers," and that its expertise enables faster credit analysis and more flexible structures for customers.

By channeling financing to a broad range of transport companies, the initiative is expected to boost productivity and competitiveness in Brazil's logistics sector, which relies heavily on road transport for the majority of cargo movements.
