Scania expands operations in Argentina and Brazil

Scania is expanding its presence and technological offerings in Latin America through new infrastructure in Argentina and product development in Brazil.

In Argentina, Scania has invested U$S 800,000 to renovate and expand its service center in Olavarría. The facility now covers 1,127 m2 and features a 497 m2 workshop with nine service bays, a component repair sector, and a doubled spare parts warehouse capacity. The center serves logistics and transport sectors supporting grain, livestock, construction, and energy industries, including the Vaca Muerta region.

In Brazil, Scania has partnered with Caio to develop the K 280 4×2 gMillennium, a new bus powered by natural gas or biomethane. The vehicle is scheduled for presentation at the Lat. Bus 2026 exhibition in São Paulo. The model is currently undergoing a rigorous homologation process with SPTrans to ensure it meets the standards required for urban public transport in São Paulo.
