Scanway secures 3.7 million EUR contract for optical telescopes

Scanway has secured a contract with a European company to produce 14 optical flight model telescopes for use in an orbital security constellation project. The agreement, valued at approximately 3.7 million EUR, marks the company's transition from individual projects to serial production.

The contract stipulates that all 14 models must be delivered within 15 months, with full project completion scheduled by the end of December 2027. There is an option for the client to expand the order by an additional 10 telescopes, which would increase the total order value to approximately 4.9 million EUR by the end of 2026.

Scanway has prepared for this scale of production by expanding its assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) infrastructure and increasing its technical team. According to COO Mikołaj Podgórski, this is the second-highest value contract in the company's history and aligns with its 2026–2028 strategic goals.
