Polish space industry international contract expansion
Overview
Polish space industry companies have secured significant international contracts involving satellite technology and orbital missions.
Scanway initially secured a 3.7 million EUR contract with a European company to produce 14 optical flight model telescopes for an orbital security constellation. This agreement, which includes an option for 10 additional units, marks the company’s transition toward serial production.
Following this, Creotech Instruments signed a 13.9 million euro strategic agreement with the European Space Agency (ESA) to lead the SAWA mission. This mission, focused on monitoring space weather and solar activity, represents the first time a Polish entity will manage a comprehensive ESA project from construction to orbital operations. Additionally, Scanway entered a non-binding memorandum with US-based Ethereal Space to pursue potential involvement in multispectral imaging orders for the NOAA SBEM program.
