Scarlett Salice disappearance: New evidence found in Black Forest

Authorities in Baden-Württemberg are investigating new developments in the disappearance of Scarlett Salice, who vanished while hiking in the Southern Black Forest in September 2020. Private volunteers recently discovered a zipper in a dried riverbed of the Wehra, which may belong to her backpack. The State Criminal Police Office (LKA) is currently analyzing the item to determine if it matches her belongings.

Salice's father, Ralf Salice, expressed hope that the find might provide clarity, stating that even if it confirms a tragic accident, it would allow the family to rule out criminal theories.

Other long-standing missing persons cases in the region include Felix H., a child from Oftersheim who has been missing since January 2006. Investigators have used age-progression technology to create images of what he might look like today.
