SCERT Nagaland conducts teacher training for Kaushal Bodh initiative

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Nagaland has concluded a three-day capacity-building workshop focused on the implementation of Kaushal Bodh. The program involved teachers from 46 PM SHRI schools and eight District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) in Kohima.

Kaushal Bodh is a curricular initiative designed for students in Classes 6 to 8. It aims to connect classroom learning with practical, real-life experiences through structured projects categorized into three areas: work with life forms, work with machines and materials, and work with human services. The initiative seeks to foster critical thinking, curiosity, teamwork, and communication skills.

During the workshop, participants engaged in hands-on sessions including tie and dye, toy making, and cooking without fire. Woshamo, Joint Director of SCERT Nagaland, emphasized that the focus should remain on the learning process rather than just the final product to help students develop a positive attitude toward work and the dignity of labor.
