Schiphol Airport cancels nearly 100 flights due to storm Boelo

Storm Boelo caused significant disruptions at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, leading to the cancellation of approximately 100 flights. The cancellations primarily affected KLM and EasyJet operations, with nearly 80 departures from the Netherlands suspended. Affected routes include connections to Paris, Manchester, Hamburg, Stockholm, Rome, and Dublin.

Severe winds forced a reduction in airport operations as not all runways remained available for takeoffs and landings. The storm also impacted ground transportation across the Netherlands; rail services were suspended in the eastern part of the country after a tree fell onto the tracks, and in central Amsterdam, a falling tree struck a moving vehicle. No injuries were reported following these incidents.
