Schwarzenberggarten to host Klanglicht light and sound art event

The Schwarzenberggarten at the Belvedere in Vienna will host a new cultural event titled ‘Klanglicht im Park – The Sound of Light’ starting October 23, 2026. Running until January 10, 2027, the installation transforms the historic garden between Palais Schwarzenberg and the Belvedere into a parcours of light art, sound, and staged performances.

The event features 16 artistic stations distributed throughout the grounds, showcasing works by international and Austrian artists. A prominent installation is ‘Museum of the Moon’ by British artist Luke Jerram, which features a seven-meter-wide moon displaying high-resolution NASA imagery. Other participating artists include Yasuhiro Chida, Alfredo Barsuglia, Miriam Hamann, and Hartung & Trenz.

Originally established in Graz in 2015, the Klanglicht format is expanding to Vienna for its first dedicated edition in this location. Gastronomic services will be provided by Stöckl im Park.
