Schwerte: Road closures and bus diversions for Hospizlauf

The Hospizlauf event in Schwerte on Sunday, September 20, 2026, will result in several road closures and bus diversions throughout the city center.

Specific road closures include Bahnhofstraße between Karl-Gerhards-Straße and Postplatz, Rathausstraße between Kuhstraße and Postplatz, and the complete closure of Gasstraße. Additionally, Eintrachtstraße will be closed between Kantstraße and Hüsingstraße, while Kuhstraße will become a dead end up to the Volksbank parking lot.

Public transportation will also be affected. DSW21 lines 430 and 435 will bypass the ‘Schwerte Sparkasse’ and ‘Schwerte Post’ stops, using ‘Hastingsallee’ and ‘Schwerte ZOB’ as alternatives. VKU lines 71, 72, 73, 74, and 371, along with AST traffic, will see the ‘Post’, ‘Sparkasse’, and ‘Werner-Steinem-Platz’ stops cancelled, with the Schwerte station serving as the replacement.
