Sciacca beach walkways installation urged by Europa Verde councilor

Councilor Daniela Campione of the Europa Verde party in Sciacca sent a formal letter to the mayor and the municipal administration demanding the immediate installation of walkways that were purchased last year. The walkways are intended to give people with limited mobility full access to the town’s beaches, a right she described as “an inalienable right” especially critical during the current extreme heat.

Campione noted that only the Contrada Foggia beach has walkways, installed thanks to a local committee’s effort, and warned that reliance on isolated initiatives is unacceptable. She called for a prompt response and rapid deployment of the structures along the entire coast.

The councilor stressed that the sea is a public good and that delays constitute “a grave neglect of civil dignity” that must be corrected without further bureaucratic delay.
