Science and Technology Week events organized in Spain

The XVIII Science Week in Torrevieja will take place from November 6 to 8, organized by the Ars Creatio Cultural Association. The program includes a lecture on antibiotic resistance and superbugs by Manuel Sánchez Angulo, a microbiology professor from Miguel Hernández University of Elche, scheduled for November 6 at the Torrevieja Casino.

Additional activities include scientific workshops for children and youth aged 7 and older at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center on November 7, featuring experiments such as DNA extraction from plants and measuring CO2 concentrations in water. The event also features the ‘Clowntifics’ science communication show by Big Van Ciencia.

In a separate initiative, the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) is mobilizing approximately 300 volunteers for the XXIII Science and Technology Week. These volunteers will staff 11 stands designed to make scientific and technological knowledge accessible through practical demonstrations and interactive experiences, aiming to inspire scientific vocations among younger generations.
