Scientists estimate biological limits of human lifespan
Scientists are investigating the theoretical upper limits of the human lifespan and the biological capacity for recovery. Research involving the analysis of medical data from approximately 100,000 individuals using artificial intelligence suggests that the body's ability to fully recover from damage and regenerate effectively begins to decline significantly between the ages of 120 and 150.
While average life expectancy in Europe currently stands at approximately 78.6 years for men and 82.6 years for women, and slightly lower in the United States, the study focuses on the biological threshold where the organism can no longer return to its previous state. Researchers are exploring whether advancements in medicine and new therapies could eventually push these biological boundaries, potentially extending lifespans toward 200 years.
