Scotland road closures after major A90 and A830 crashes

A collision on the A90 near Ellon on the morning of 7 August 2026 blocked the road in both directions. Police and Traffic Scotland attended the scene, advising drivers to use alternative routes and expect delays.

Two days earlier, on 5 August 2026, a four‑vehicle crash on the A830 west of Corpach near Fort William forced the road to close in both directions. Scottish Fire and Rescue Services, ambulances and police responded, and motorists were warned to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
