Scott launches Sweep urban e‑bike with Bosch Hub Line motor

Swiss bicycle brand Scott has introduced the Sweep, a new lightweight urban electric bike aimed at practical city transport. The model uses Bosch’s Hub Line rear‑hub motor delivering 45 Nm of torque and up to 400 W of peak power, paired with a removable 360 Wh PowerTube battery and an optional 250 Wh range extender. Three versions – Sweep 10, Sweep 20 and Sweep 20 Wave – share an aluminium 6061 frame, Shimano 9‑speed drivetrain, disc brakes and integrated lighting, with weights ranging from about 22 kg to 24.6 kg.

Pricing starts at €2,449, positioning the Sweep below Scott’s previous premium e‑bike offerings. All versions come equipped for city use with mounts for racks, fenders and rear pannier carriers, and the Bosch Purion 200 display provides ride data and remote updates via the Bosch Flow app. The launch reflects Scott’s strategy to offer a simple, affordable e‑bike that encourages short‑distance car‑free trips in urban areas.
