Scream stars address long-standing mystery regarding Tatum Riley's death

Thirty years after the release of the cult horror film ‘Scream’, actors Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard have addressed a long-standing fan mystery regarding the identity of the killer in a specific scene.

During a reunion panel at the Midsummer Scream convention, Ulrich revealed that even the film’s screenwriter, Kevin Williamson, does not officially know which of the two killers, Billy Loomis or Stu Macher, was responsible for the death of the character Tatum Riley. While the film intentionally leaves the identity ambiguous, Matthew Lillard suggested his theory is that Stu Macher was the killer, citing the character’s motive regarding Tatum’s refusal to attend a dance.
