SDAIA and Monsha'at conclude Artificial Intelligence Week in Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), has concluded ‘Artificial Intelligence Week’. Held from August 9 to 13, 2026, as part of the ‘Year of AI 2026’, the event aimed to bridge the gap between technical capabilities and practical business applications.
The initiative saw participation from over 40 government, private, and educational entities, benefiting approximately 3,900 participants. Activities were distributed across several regions, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Madinah, Asir, Jazan, Qassim, and Al-Baha. The program featured 17 exhibitors, six main sessions, and 78 entrepreneurial meetings.
During the event, SDAIA’s General Manager of Investment, Hisham Al-Shaddi, discussed how AI can support investment environments and create scalable business models. Additionally, Raed Al-Fayez, Deputy Governor for the Technology Sector at the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, emphasized the importance of adopting AI and cloud computing to enhance operational efficiency and productivity without the need for heavy infrastructure investments.
