SDG/YPG announces dissolution and integration into Syrian Army

The SDG/YPG organization has officially announced its dissolution, marking a major shift in the Syrian conflict and regional security. Following negotiations with the Damascus government, leader Mazlum Abdi declared that the group has completed its mission and is disbanding as an independent military force.

Under an agreement reached with Syrian President Ahmed Şara, the group's forces are being integrated into the brigades of the Syrian Army. This development follows the implementation of the 'Terörsüz Türkiye' (Terror-free Turkey) process and legislative frameworks aimed at national solidarity and integration.

In response to these developments, Turkish authorities have launched investigations into social media accounts accused of spreading disinformation and propaganda intended to provoke public unrest or promote terrorist content during this transition period. The Turkish Presidency of Communications is coordinating with cybercrime and counter-terrorism units to identify and take legal action against accounts inciting hatred or spreading false information regarding the new security paradigm.
