SDSM demands investigation into Bardovci explosive incident
The SDSM political party has called for a Public Prosecutor investigation following an explosive device incident in Bardovci. SDSM General Secretary Aleksandar Sasha Dimitrijević alleged that the attack, which occurred on August 16, may be linked to business interests, tenders, or alleged commissions involving approximately 300,000 euros.
SDSM claims the target was Milko Boškovski, an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVR) described by the party as a close associate of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski’s best man. The party is questioning why the incident has not been publicly disclosed and is seeking links to tenders in REK and construction land in Skopje.
In response, the ruling VMRO-DPMNE party dismissed the claims as speculation and inaccurate. VMRO-DPMNE stated that the Ministry of Internal Affairs had already reported the incident in its bulletin. They further clarified that the explosive device was thrown at the home of Boškovski’s father, rather than the officer's own residence, and accused SDSM of presenting a “colorful story” without evidence.
