Sea Machines secures contract with U.S. Special Operations Forces
Sea Machines Robotics has secured a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide its rapidly deployable autonomy kits to the U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF).
The contract allows SOF to utilize Sea Machines’ proprietary Autonomous Command and Control system as a “drop-in” capability for various vessels. These kits are designed to enhance expeditionary logistics, maritime security, and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) at the tactical edge.
The autonomy kits are described as commercial, non-developmental, and TRL-9 rated, capable of being deployed within hours. This technology is intended to work across a wide range of craft sizes and specifications, providing an asymmetric capability that can be tailored to specific mission objectives and areas of responsibility.
