Sea turtles released following successful rehabilitation

Several sea turtles have been successfully rehabilitated and released back into their natural habitats following injuries caused by fishing gear.

In Gulf Shores, two sea turtles that had undergone months of treatment and rehabilitation were returned to the Gulf. Meanwhile, in the Florida Keys, a mature female sea turtle named Timmy received final care at The Turtle Hospital before her release.

Conservationists note that the release of mature female turtles is particularly vital for wild populations, as they play a crucial role in breeding and maintaining the health of marine ecosystems.
