SeABank adjusts 2026 business plan and elects new Chairperson
Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) has announced an adjustment to its 2026 business plan and a change in senior leadership. In alignment with directives from the Vietnamese Government and the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) to support economic growth and ease business difficulties, the bank has approved a 15% reduction in its 2026 profit-before-tax target to VND6,008 billion.
This strategic adjustment facilitates three primary actions: reducing interest rates by cutting annual deposit rates for tenors of six months or longer by 0.5–0.7 percentage points, prioritizing credit allocation to businesses with sound financial foundations and priority sectors, and leveraging customer ecosystems to provide integrated financial solutions. The bank noted these measures prioritize growth quality and customer support over rapid expansion.
Regarding leadership, the Board of Directors has elected Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy as the new Chairperson for the 2023–2028 term, effective October 22, 2026. Additionally, the board approved the resignation of Mr. Le Van Tan as Chairperson, with documentation being processed for his appointment as CEO to succeed Mr. Le Quoc Long.
