Search continues for missing man in New York Adirondacks

Authorities are continuing the search for Craig Streeter, a 73-year-old man from Mahopac, New York, who has been missing since August 2. Streeter was last seen at a Stewart’s Shop in Indian Lake, New York, wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt and jeans.

Streeter’s RV was discovered unattended at a remote campsite off Moose River Road in the town of Inlet, located in the Adirondacks. The New York State Police noted that Streeter frequently traveled to remote camping areas, making periods of silence a common occurrence in his lifestyle.

Since the search officially began on August 17, the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Forest Rangers have joined dozens of personnel from various agencies, including the New York State Police. According to the DEC, first responders have covered more than 728 linear miles and 2,514 acres in their efforts to locate him.
