Search and rescue operations have concluded for two separate incidents involving individuals swept away by ocean currents in Indonesia.

In Ambon, Basarnas officials have officially halted the search for 25-year-old Arien Maspaitella. The individual was reported missing after being swept away by waves in the waters of Hutumuri Village, Leitimur Selatan. After a seven-day operation involving aerial, surface, underwater, and coastal searches, no signs of the victim were found. Authorities stated that while the operation is closed, they will continue monitoring and may reopen it if new information emerges.

In Aceh Besar, a 19-year-old student from Universitas Abulyatama, identified as Juanda, went missing while swimming at the Lhok Keutapang tourist area. The incident occurred during a weekend camping trip when the victim was swept away by strong currents after swimming away from the shoreline.
