Search operations underway for missing hikers in Slovenia and Bosnia

Rescue teams are engaged in separate operations to locate missing hikers in the Balkan region. In Slovenia, a 19-year-old Serbian citizen has gone missing while attempting to climb Mount Triglav. Search teams from Bovca and Mojstrana have located personal belongings and footprints in the snow at altitudes between 1,900 and 2,130 meters. However, heavy winds and cloud cover have prevented helicopter use, and poor mobile signals are hindering communication with rescuers.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Mountain Rescue Service of Herceg-Bosna Canton successfully rescued two Croatian citizens on Mount Kamešnica. The two men, approximately 20 years old, lost their orientation while traveling from Konja toward the Croatian border. They were located in difficult terrain below Goli vrh. Despite harsh weather conditions and darkness, rescuers successfully extracted the hikers, who were found to be in good physical condition and uninjured.
