Search operations underway for missing persons in Brazil

Firefighters and rescue teams are conducting search operations for two different missing persons in Brazil.

In Cáceres, authorities are searching for a man approximately 40 years old named Daniel. He disappeared on Monday afternoon after fleeing a vehicle while being transported to a health unit following a mental health episode. Rescue teams are utilizing drones and quadrant-based sweeping techniques near the BR-070 highway to locate him. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jeans, barefoot, and carrying a bottle.

In Angra dos Reis, search efforts are focused on an 82-year-old woman named Benedita, who has Alzheimer's disease. She was last seen early Sunday morning walking toward a wooded area in the Banqueta neighborhood. Rescuers are using tracking dogs to assist in the search, though heavy rain in the region is complicating the operation.
