Search operations underway for missing persons in Chile and Mexico

Search operations are underway in two separate regions to locate missing individuals.

In Santo Domingo, Chile, approximately 50 personnel from the Investigations Police (PDI), Navy, Civil Defense, and fire departments are searching a one-kilometer radius near Santa María beach. The operation aims to find 60-year-old María Soledad Baasch, who has been missing since October 8. Authorities confirmed finding personal belongings belonging to Baasch in the area, and her vehicle was previously located parked near the Club House of the Santa María del Mar condominium.

In Baja California, Mexico, authorities continue to search for three people missing following storm Rachel. The missing include a man and a minor in San Felipe, and a woman in Ensenada. Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda stated that while several homes in San Quintín and Ensenada sustained significant damage, a formal state of emergency declaration is not currently necessary due to the ongoing government response and aid being provided to affected families.
