Search operations underway for persons swept away by currents in Mexico and Panama

Search operations are underway for individuals swept away by water currents in separate incidents in Mexico and Panama.

In San Pedro Tlaquepaque, Mexico, emergency services and Civil Protection are searching for a person reported missing after being carried away by heavy storm flows in the Jardines de Santa María area. Search efforts have expanded to the Arroyo Seco in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, as authorities believe the current may have displaced the individual toward that location.

In Panama, the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) has launched a search for a 24-year-old woman who disappeared at Chorro La Angostura in the Coclé province. Witnesses report the woman fell into the Zaratí River while attempting to rescue a pet. Divers from the Fire Department are assisting in the search within the canyon area.
