Seasonal Christmas events announced for Nagoya and Tokyo
Various Christmas-themed community events are scheduled for late 2026 in Japan's major urban centers.
In Nagoya, J. Front Retailing will launch ‘SAKAE Christmas Memories 2026’ from November 14 to December 25. The project aims to establish a new winter tradition in the Sakae area through music parades, light displays, and an ornament exchange event that intends to attempt a world record for participation. The initiative involves collaboration between local businesses, educational institutions, and government bodies to enhance regional tourism and winter activity.
In Tokyo, the ‘TOKYO PARK MARCHE 2026 Christmas Edition’ will take place at Hibiya Park on December 19 and 20. This participatory market features approximately 78 vendors offering food and goods. The event includes community-focused activities such as an item exchange program and a ‘Tree of Wishes’ decorated with origami cranes, emphasizing sustainable and handmade holiday decorations.
