Seasonal growth drives lawn maintenance and mushroom foraging in Poland

In Gniezno, a local housing cooperative has conducted its fifth lawn mowing session of the season. Despite unpredictable weather patterns involving heatwaves and heavy rainfall, the cooperative is maintaining a regular schedule to manage rapid vegetation growth. The maintenance aims to improve aesthetics, strengthen root systems, and prevent the development of tick habitats.

Simultaneously, mushroom foraging is seeing a significant surge across Poland. Data indicates high yields of chanterelles and porcini mushrooms, particularly in the northern and north-eastern regions. West Pomeranian Voivodeship has reported the highest concentration of harvests, followed by Greater Poland, Podkarpackie, and Podlaskie. Foragers report abundant finds, with some describing the abundance of porcini mushrooms as overwhelming.
