Seattle Seahawks activate running back Zach Charbonnet

The Seattle Seahawks have activated running back Zach Charbonnet from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, adding him back to the 53-man roster. Charbonnet has been sidelined since January due to a torn ACL. His activation comes ahead of the team’s Week 7 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

To facilitate the roster move, the Seahawks placed tight end Elijah Arroyo on injured reserve following a shoulder injury sustained during a game against the Denver Broncos.

Charbonnet’s return provides depth to a depleted Seahawks backfield. The team is currently without rookie first-round pick Jadarian Price, who is on injured reserve with a chest injury. Other active contributors in the running game include veteran Emanuel Wilson and George Holani. Charbonnet was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, and head coach Mike Macdonald indicated there is a possibility he will play on Sunday.
